Professional Development Program

 

A major benefit of your membership is the option to learn from the Professional Development Program.  You can begin to establish your professional credentials through comprehensive distance education.

To begin, you need to enroll in the Professional Development Program.

As you progress, each course requires greater effort and time. Certificates are awarded for each course, showing you have completed and passed a level of proficiency.

Completing the entire program and final test leads to the designation of Professional Bridal Consultant™

terms.

 

Professional Bridal Consultant ™

To earn the title Professional Bridal Consultant ™, you must complete the Professional Development Program, a five-course distance education program and final exam. The courses can be done in any sequence; there is no time limit as long as you are a member in good standing. The program can be ordered by individual courses, or all at once at a substantial discount.

 

 

The Courses

 

The courses can be done in any sequence; there is not time limit as long as you are a member in good standing.  The program can be ordered by individual courses, or all at once at a substantial discount. 

 

Etiquette:  Planning the “perfect” wedding, including invitations, announcements, parties, gifts, and a special section on second weddings.

 

Sales and Marketing:  The business side of being a consultant, including marketing, advertising, media relations, company organization and finances.

 

Wedding Day:  The ceremony and reception, including seating arrangements, protocol, catering, rentals, at-home functions and similar functions.  Different major religious ceremonies are covered as well.

 

Related Services:  The “other things” that are so much a part of every wedding, including flowers, fashion, jewelry, gifts, photography, and entertainment.

 

Planning and Consulting:  Details about organizing, planning, and carrying out the consultant’s role; and also understanding the bride’s emotions. Includes how to develop and grow your consulting business. 

 

Each course contains a test and answer sheet that may is returned to ABC via e-mail, fax or mail to receive credit for completion.
